If it indeed is gonna be a double album, I'm gonna get greedy lol. I said earlier in this thread that I just wanted this to NOT be a short 'album', and that we needed 45-50 minutes, preferably more. With the rumors of it being a double, I don't want no Vince Staples-like 'double album' (30 minutes each disc, 60 minutes total). We need atleast 90 minutes if it's gonna be a double.

I hope he does the smart thing and treats a double album like artists used to in the 70s and 80s: 8-10 songs on each side. Once you start getting to 12 plus tracks on a disc it’s almost impossible to avoid misses. Or annoying skits.

Songs In The Key Of Life is 17 tracks. Sign O The Times is 16 tracks. Physical Graffiti is 15 tracks. You don’t need 24+ tracks…

Traditionally for a double album to be counted twice it had to reach or exceed 100 minutes. I have absolutely NO idea if an album of new material exceeding 100 minutes in the streaming era gets you “double sales” count like it in the CD era. The last two Hip Hop double albums of the streaming era were Drake’s Scorpion (89:44) and Lupe Fiasco’s Drogas Wave (98:25)


I’m guessing it would be safe to assume that Kendrick is going for a more conceptual theme ala Lupe’s recent attempt than just flooding music ala Drake’s recent attempt. So we’re probably looking at something like 70 minutes
