The whole album kind of feels like a Play to me. Like he’s making a parable

That tap dancing thing comes up twice. Kendrick's really trying to make the message of stop 'tap dancing' around your problems a big part of this album. Good message especially when you take into account the daddy issues theme of Father Time and some of the stuff black men and men in general face throughout life (i.e. being a man, showing emotion being frowned upon)
