They released my favorite material in rap as I was growing up

Now that the dust has settled.....
Kendrick seemed to make this album for him, and not for what he knew would do well on the charts and mainstream. He spoke on everything that has been going on in his world and the world since his last album....There are a lot of covid references in the album, bc that's the biggest thing that has been going on worldwide that has affected everyone in multiple decades.
It's a very cinematic album that is meant to listen to from start to finish in order for the listener to fully grasp it.

Songs like Mother I sober can bring a tear to your eyes. That's prolific songwriting and artistic range
Auntie Diaries and We Cry Together is just genius music....Those songs are made for you to listen to
Mirror is him reflecting, throwing a few shots and floating on the beat.
It's a masterpiece in my opinion.....If all you listen to is trap music and mumble rappers in tight pants, then this probably not your cup of tea, and that's ok, bc everything is not for everybody.
I think 2-5 years from now, the people who don't like it initially will go back to it and appreciate it a lot more
9/10 and 4.5 out of 5 on the grading scale.

It's not about playing individual songs. I like to play albums front to back no skips. Spoken word or talking about your trans aunt isn't putting me in the right zone to bang out reps on the bench. Count Me Out is too damn smooth. I'd play that on the stair master. I prefer to work out to aggressive, grimy, street music. Some M.O.P. or Griselda is more my speed. . That's my personal preference. Not listening to what you listen means I'm not not making gains? You sound ridiculous
