Sensationalist title aside, this is a pretty good breakdown on why so many rappers are mad at drake. It's the same reason people would be mad at Jay Z. He represents someone who sees hip hop as a means to an end. The fact that he'd attempt to even use the west coast itself from the Dre inspired beat, to using pac and snoop's voices against their consent shows that this is a man who doesn't love and respect hip hop as an art form and way of expressing one's thoughts and feelings.
Some rappers would continue to write rhymes and experiment with beats even though they are working a square job and making a good wage because they enjoy being creative. Kendrick called out Drake's desire to be famous and wealthy as signs that this is a man who doesn't have love for hip hop in his heart. I don't know how he could beat those allegations when the evidence to support that claim is comically large.
Whether it's the ghost writers, k-pop level "slave contract" or literally using ARTIFICIAL intelligence in an art form focused on authenticity he shows that he doesn't really "get" hip hop. He doesn't understand it. J Cole is biracial, but people don't get at him for that because they see him as authentic to a fault. I'm disappointed but not shocked that he apologized and fell back after dissing. He knew all that tough guy shyt wasn't him. He couldn't stand pretending to be someone who he isn't. Drake however, leans into that shyt. He's exposing himself as an artist that lacks depth. He's an entertainer, he does his job well, but he didn't stop acting after the teen drama. He's continued to act and pretend to be someone else.
