no it’s the opposite. All the praise for it comes from white journalist. Even the comments on YouTube on blacker the berry praise it for the last two bars! Which I hate though
i remember when it dropped and I was still in college (hbcu) it was like an event and nobody liked it and everyone complained about it being a jazz album.

I love it though

honestly when I think about it, this may be one of the most “pro black” albums white people love a lot because it’s quite safe compared to Jay Electronica album or Nas Untitled

Not surprising. That’s because most these young nikkas aren’t into musicality and the science of Black music like many generations before and some prolly going around thinking Jazz is some old people music. I’m not surprised a lotta kneegrows from the Trap music generation wasn’t feeling this album and I say that as a technical member of said generation (I was 23 the year TPAB dropped)

I think Kendrick peaked lyrically in this era. We may never get this level of greatness from him ever again.

Classic. Kendrick was loved on here till he got popular lol. Same with every other artist

The Booth is real selective with that shyt lol. They act like they don’t fukk with Kendrick and Cole no more but will big up Future and Young Thug any chance they get to this very day. They ain’t slick
