Gkmc is extremely overrated, Interscope payola had people dikkriding that album extra hard.

GKMC is a great album and one of the best crafted albums in recent memory. It flows perfectly and there are no bad songs. Skits, beats, instrumentation...everything is dope on that album.

I don't think it's better than TPAB but both are classics, and I can at least understand why someone would prefer it over TPAB. Especially if you don't fukk with the production/jazz on TPAB.

A genuine classic album, not an album that people just call classic because they like it

Musically this and everything else he releases is so far beyond what his peers create it's crazy

This is 1 of those albums you can just run through it's entirety whenever

To Pimp a Butterfly is head and shoulders above GKMC

Let's be clear here, no other rapper can make an album like TPAB, you need the right producers, the right instrumentalists, the right directors, you need someone who is very knowledgeable in black music. Kendrick will likely never top this, and that's OK, you simply cannot top perfection.

before this album...i thought kendrick had some talent but his previous albums were overrated as fukk and boring to me...this was one was a huge jump in quality..dope as fukk..still his best album

I never listened to a Kendrick album more than one playthrough the week its released, and never again after that.

But to be fair almost the same can be said for just about every album released after 2006, I liked Jay elects new album but I already heard it once and there's no need for me to listen again

hip-hop just ain't hitting to me like that anymore. Only the legends stay on repeat
