I swear if Kendrick was some cookie cutter rapper mumbling on the track, promoting drug use and promiscuity, bragging about stuntin' on or killing other black folks there would be no accusations of being an industry plant, that only white hipsters fukk with him, questioning his pro-blackness or rather scrutinizing him for not adhering to the personal standard of whoever is complaining of what it means to be pro-black. I think his sound is a lil different from mainstream hip hop these days. But it's not really any type of style we havnt heard. Heavily jazz influenced beats, with conscious raps and spoken word poetry. Not as experimental as op made it out to be.
But overall he does sound different from any mainstream act right nkw
