The point is that even when Kendrick makes trap/drill and puts big booty 'hoes' in his videos, these stans gymnast some reason for why it's some goat metaphor for the hood/homies/cliche "Black" topic du jour. And the stans are quick to rush to "he aint like Young Thug" because Young Thug's what they listen to (but pretend to be intellectually superior when convenient) and it's their only reference point.
Nevermind that most Kendrick "haters" don't listen to Kendrick nor trap. They're not mad at Kendrick because he aint Young Thug. They're mad that he's a fake and extremely watery Ice Cube/2Pac/Andre 3000/whatever Interscope's trying to sell Duckworth as.
But as usual, his stans will read this, then continue with the "you mad he aint Future" comments

Kendrick Lamar has released some of the best music over the past 10 years in all genres of music.
What you call weird, others call experimental, expansive, alternate.
Critically and sales wise has has also performed well. So for all the hate he gets on The Coli, I guess it is not replicated in the real world
For all the love he gets on the Internet I don't see it replicated in the real world though either. I literally don't know 1 person that bought TPAB, or even really listens to it. That Interscope machine is no joke. I love GKMC, TPAB is one of the most overrated albums I've ever heard IMO. I realize that music is subjective so I won't argue with anyone else, but no one is changing my mind on the album either.
