Its not JUST Kendrick Though. J.Cole, Wale', and Drake (yes Drake) have all had both critical as well as commercial success to back their skills. The new school of rappers is looking very bright ESPECIALLY when comparing it to the dark ages of 05-07...

Kendrick had one of the very BEST albums of last year, that its sales match its quality is a good indicator that creative, thoughtful, ambitious lyricism still can have a major impact within the culture. Its never all about sales but Kendrick deserves major props for connecting in a manner where he wasn't required to sacrifice his vision or his art.

bytch don't kill my vibe is already like 53 on the charts. I don't no how much higher it will end up since it has been out a while already. This will be his 4th video and he may make one for Money Trees too. Or at least he should. I definitely see him getting to plat eventually. But I think his next album will have just as much hype and that's where he will really start to move some units. Like instead of moving 240 thousand in a week, I think he'll move like 400,000 on his next album first week.
