i was thinking of him defending his black on black crime shyt on the breakfast club/sway etc. when he did the interviews promoting the album. i don't fukk with that white supremacist talking point. i found it contradictory to send out that message when making an album that is supposed to be pro black. i liked the album, but kendrick came off as fake deep in those interviews.

cole world :blessed:

Kendrick's views on the black community don't match the Coli's, but can you blame him?

His experience of being black in America is most likely very different from your's or mine.

I say that to illustrate that it isn't a surprise that Kendrick is most focused on black on black crime as far as his message goes.

And he has never danced around that in his music.

Cole won.

Meek weak
Drake got a ghostwriter
Kendrick turn to c00ndrick in interviews
everyone else not nearly as nice or not as relevant

Cole the only true rebel since the beginning :blessed:

Nah, get that corny coli militant shyt out of here.

Kendrick has not done nearly enough damage to the black community, to have earned the "c00n" label.

This site stays turning to name calling when faced with an alternate opinion.

Cool. :obama:

Disagreeing with his message is different from accusing him of being contradictory.

If you don't fukk with his speaking out against gang violence, I can't blame you for knocking him for that.

cause he wants the gang violence in his city (he's from compton nikka) and country to stop. it's not respectability politics it's literally him saying hey we need to stop and work together or we can't win. your confusing people who don't speak on anything and just deflecting with black on black crime and taking kendrick out of context.

This site's community are the most socially aware blacks on the entire internet.

That's not a bad thing. In fact, it's incredible that we're a part of it.

The problem is, they often resort to hive minding, brain washing, and circle jerking to get their points across.

I suppose because it's quicker and convenient. :yeshrug:

But the "he mentioned black on black crime, he's c00ning :scusthov:" narrative doesn't work in Kendrick's case.

Because like you said, he isn't deflecting from anything.

Kendrick grew up in Comptom. His priority is legitimately to put an end to gang violence.

This whole "Kendrick is a c00n" nonsense is really the result of a flaw in this site's social system. Nothing less, nothing more.

Kendrick's critical acclaim + knowing he couldn't properly respond to control without getting annihilated by :duck:worth ate his soul. I know he was especially salty when tpab dropped and he won more Grammy's then him this year(and will likely take the Grammy's next year, he might even win album of the year if Adele Dont drop on September and they feel like giving a black man a aoty). Drake isn't seeing Kendrick and he knows this.
