Actually if u listen to the interview he takes everything into consideration but he notes longevity as the most important aspect.

What I find funny, and odd, is that for a lot of these new school rappers, the only New York rapper that they include in their influences is Nas.... Of course this is when they are coming up... Once they start getting mainstream exposure is when they start name dropping Jay... AND this has happened with multiple rappers on the rise (minus the ones from NYC)
