This is hip hop...him being in the game is reason enough, he hasn't come at that nikka on a personal level, everybody else that he named knew what time it was and either acknowledged that they understood the context or they went and got their ass in the booth, the nikka who actually got offended did neither...he just whined about having relationships.
What did Drake say in response to the Control verse that showed he was offended? Yeah he hasn't come out against him on a personal level but I just don't think it's a good look to possibly call someone out who has featured you on there album and gave you a verse on yours too. That makes it seem contrived to me.

Drake is not hip hop, that's why. He too scary and fraid to be direct and get at nikkas on a battle tip cause he's bytch made that's the problem with him. Kendrick is of a different breed, he don't care and he understands what hip hop is. The whole essence of hip hop is battle rap and Kendrick barely dropped a bomb on Drake and he got Drake wid his tail between his legs. :youngsabo:
i think its cause drake adopted the culture. its not even that hes canadian and not american (even though that may play some role). but he when he tries to come off tough it always seems like he is acting or playing a role like this an extension of degrassi

other nikkas actually live and breathe this hip hop shyt, they grew up on it and the culture was all around them. thats why its easy to understand why kendrick has no problem with competition and actually confronting nikkas on wax. drake is used to getting his way and having everybody wanna be his friend which is why he is a mix of :lupe: :whoa: and :sadbron: in these interviews about the topic and kendrick

As I said from the beginning K Dot was out of line on his King of NY line and yes Papoose did get him but he got the hell out of Drake with that Pajama line. You guys have to really read the subliminals, that was only 15 seconds and he really went in.

I don't think Drake is better but what his popularity and wit he's liable to come with a haymaker line that'll follow Kendrick his whole career...some "99 percent of your fans don't exist" type shyt.

I know Interscope is gassin K Dot but he needs to tread lightly. When Drake is really motivated to rhyme he's not a walk in the park.

Not to mention how Kendrick is seemingly flipping the script once he got on is becoming corny. First you were the West coast's humble lil brother now you're just talking shyt indiscriminate...why. I get the "competition" thing but he could've kept it at Control.

forreal tho. this is the second pass nikkas giving this shythead for wyllin on records. this not even a diss, if it is its a diss to my intelligence
First of all, this is NOT A BEEF!!! Its a battle...aka competition. That's like being at a ball court and you tryna run a full but Drake and friends want to take turns shooting jumpshots and giving positive reinforcement. "Good shot...its okay that you missed, the important thing is that you tried. Here take another jumpshot." :snoop:

Kendrick is tryna compete with nikkas, that's all. Why would Kendrick have a legit Beef with these nikkas? :what: Stop talking about..."this aint no real diss track...blah blah blah." Cause its not intended to be a diss. It's competition.

Also, Kendrick already named names and nikkas aint want it (except for Meek and Pusha T) so if Kendrick kept saying names nikkas would look at him like 50. "Why Kendrick always tryna beef? Waaaaaahhhhhh!!!"

At the beginning of mean streets

That's what I mean though Kendrick was spoon fed he was living hip hop that diet in real life. Drake just became obsessed with the culture and it comes off corny talmbout "you know good and well that you don't want a problem like that, you gon make a nikka around me catch a body like that" on Headlines. :childplease: Even though Drake is African American, culturally he's a cornball Jewish guy lookin at the culture from the outside. That's why he's so hesitant to battle a nikka. This nikka was readin his rhymes, when they'd ask to him freestyle on Hot97, off a God damn blackberry. He's so lucky to be a rapper in this generation cause his lame ass gimmick would've made him food to rappers durin the Golden Era. That's why he so fraid to pop off at Kendrick. Kendrick like yay high but he talkin some slick shyt about bein the king of bof coasts and the offspring of Pac and Drake stayin mad silent. Cause Drake deep down don't want it. He ain't got it in him to battle a nikka, and these days it's not even freestylin it's writin a few rhymes and memorizing that shyt. Drake gon keep coppin pleas on some "I'm three albums deep I don't even need to address him" even though we can all tell that Drake soul burnin slow.

I like Drake. I think his discography is strong and his rapping/singing skills are just above-average enough to be in the position he's in. His style is different -- which pisses off a lot of traditional hip-hop heads -- but I dig it and think the dude's honest about himself.

However, he can't run away from beefs forever by releasing slick subliminal verses after the fact. If Kendrick says his name -- which I believe he eventually will -- then Drake has to respond if he still wants a core fanbase when this thing is over. I think Drake can actually come out on top of this if he plays his cards right, but it will have to take a direct diss on his part if one comes his way.
You're forgetting that Drake's core fanbase are women and white people. They don't care about that battling stuff.
