The point is, sprinkled all through this thread are comments that Drake can't battle, or hasn't, or that they can't see him doing it. So then proof of him doing so is provided. Directly contradicts their view that he's too soft for it.

I actually thought this "battle" was only visible in the "hip hop forum/people who pay attention 24/7", but to see 14 seconds of a grainy snippet garner this type of attention proves that Kendrick has the ear of more than just internet nerds.

Kendrick Lamar apparently wasn't firing a one-off shot when he put all of his contemporaries on notice during his verse on Big Sean's "Control." The Compton rapper once again aimed his laser -- this time solely at Drake -- during his cypher verse for the BET Awards.
In a preview posted to All Hip Hop's Instagram, Lamar rips into Drake, who recently released his third studio album, "Nothing Was the Same."
"And nothing's been the same since they dropped 'Control'/And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes/Ha-ha, jokes on you," Kendrick said.
When asked by Billboard about Kendrick's "Control" verse, Drake replied, "I know good and well that Kendrick's not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic." Looks like K-Dot's trying to hasten the arrival of that day.

Wasn’t no prior videos or evidence of Nas ever battling before….and we see how that turned out.
I don't think "fairness" has anything to do with it. I think as long as you possess the ability to display clever wordplay and can get personal, you don’t need to have a “battle pedigree”, per say.
So in a very real sense, I don't think it's necessary or germane to "prove" that Drake has battled before, just as it isn't necessary or germane that Kendrick hasn't (that we know of).
