Drake made a mistake by not responding early on like Pusha did. He waited in hopes that it would die down some and he'd put out the rest of the small flames left by dismissing it as a fad that nobody remembers the opening line from. Cool plan that seemed to work...but now the timing sucks. He spent his first week promo run answering questions about the "Control" verse and now his second week of promo runs etc will be filled with questions about these 14 seconds for the next week and a half. Which sucks because it's just 14 seconds! There's no clue what else is in the verse so his response if asked during this next week has to be calculated perfectly or he runs the risk of being embarrassed. And BET is getting a tremendous return on their "Kendrick" investment. Kendrick is about to deliver a good ratings boost in return for that "Lyricist of the Year" award before even having an album out. I'm hearing people who haven't watched the HIP HOP awards in awhile talking about it. Regardless of the outcome, HIP HOP won.
