:mjpls:A 15 second snippet = your entire cypher?
i dunno, i think i covered that by saying "because he knew these bars would steal the show, and they already have." everyone's going to remember this shyt, it will eclipse the remainder of his cypher, everyone else's, and the show itself most likely.

shyt's about both, you can deal with that how you want.

Here's the problem for Drake...

If Kendrick's verse is really 4 minutes long and it's DOPE, Drake can't win! I don't care if he spits the illest bars he has ever put together, he just won't be able to win. The majority of hip hop fans are already riding with K.Dot on this, all people are looking for is a reason to give him the W. And again, if his cypher verse is 4 minutes long and it's dope, he has given everybody that reason.

Nah bruh it's LEVELS to this shyt. Jay-Z got on stage, buried Mobb Deep's career, called Nas Wack and told a concert of thousands that Nasir didn't want it with him, and we ALL know how that turned out.

Drake JUST sold 658k in one week, and is well on his way to his third straight multiplatinum album, Drake has the fanbase and the popularity to kick this battle into high gear with a few well placed DIRECT barbs aimed at Kendrick. This really could be a good battle for this newer generation of MC's. I feel that at the end of the day, Kendrick is the superior MC to Drake, just like I feel Nas is superior to Hov. But just because you battle doesn't mean that one loses his entire career, that doesn't happen these days. Nas and Jay-Z clashed at the top and truly WANTED at the time to completely destroy the other's reputation, but at the end of the day, neither could completely do so, they were too important and had accomplished so much within Hip Hop they they were the best example of Yin/Yang that the genre has probably ever witnessed. K.Dot and Drake could echo that, if not in overall impact at least within the spirit of competition, which is what I feel Kendrick is really aiming for. Drake is just too shook and too enrolled in the Jay-Z school of Subliminal darts/public ducks to realize that. What gives Jay a pass is that Jay truly IS battle tested and proven, it would take an MC of Nas's stature to battle him. Kendrick is most definitely of Drake's stature when it comes to impact, influence, and talent amongst the newer generation, they ARE the leaders of the pack. And there can only BE one Alpha Wolf.

When did drake do his interview and when did kendrick record his verse??
The taping for the awards was this past Saturday. The Drake interviews happened way before that. Maybe a week or more back.

Yeah but when did Kendrick actually record his verse.

Because you do know they recorded their verse first for quality reasons. He's basically lip syncing in the video

Kendrick will always be linked to Drake. Let's not rewrite things breh. I won't say Drake put him on but, alot of people gravitated to Kendrick due to Drake. Drake was the first of these new school rappers and when he blew, it showed that the ringtone singalong dance days were over and it was new crop of young nikkas coming through.

First Twitter and the hype blogs tried to make J. Cole the anti-Drake....the new, new kid nobody knew about that was just as nice. The new Nas to go along with the new Jay.

Then some kid from the West Coast showed he was a better fit.

Wait a minute someone who commented has a point:

Fact: Nothing has been the same since the Control verse.

Fact: Papoose took the diss the most personal, aka sensative rapper

Fact: Papoose says "You a fuking joke, we laugh at you like hee hee hee.

Fact: Kendrick responds, "ha ha jokes on you"

Fact: Papoose says "My bullets hit em' dead in his cooty come out his booty"

Fact: Kendrick responds, "I'm bullet proof, ya shyts will never penetrate"

Fact: they actually sell Papoose pajamas, google it ..

I think this diss is directed at Papoose.

:whoo::patrice:

So you Drake stans want to discuss this?

It's obvious that this is about Drake from the Never was the same line on don't know why nikkas acting like Kendrick would waste his time with Pap of all people, :what:.Drake had by far the most sensitive response with the whole interview tour looking like a scorned emotional bytch. The joke is on Drake for acting like Kendrick and/or any rapper wouldn't be able to dethrone him.As far as the Pajamas part

Sorry those points I posted make more sense...

Drake didn't diss Kendrick in the interviews tho, he gave him props on his talent. Pap went at Kendrick AND Drake tho... on some personal shyt.
and it's only 15 secs...

That "And nothing been the same " line can easily be nothing more than a coincidence

also one of my points. that shyt is just not even feasible.
But yall blew up Papoose's diss as the murder diss of Kendrick Lamar, saying he has to respond. And now we have reasonable evidence for him to respond yall make this about Drake.... because of that one line.... that's not even a direct quote from the album.

What reason does Kendrick have to diss Drake when Drake hasn't dissed him...

Heres the thing tho

Before Ether Jay was making hood music. Then when he got taught some shyt he needed to learn tho, he was betting we would "love him when he fades to black". He "got his mojo back... oh behave". shyt made him switch his whole shyt up.

If this makes an impact on Drake's career, whats he gonna switch to? Strictly R&B? "Street" shyt? Drake only has one lane.
