I was awe when I first heard this album. DAMN sounds so compared to this. DAMN sounded too mainstream or “trappy” if you will. The production is top notch and lyrically he was in a zone. I still play this and go

I feel like DAMN gets more praise because it has songs that are easy to digest,catchy sing along to

On the flipside I think the typical listener today likes hearing shyt like that because it's memorable

My favorite album of his. The music on this was phenomenal and it really spoke to me. I'm young so it guided me through a lot, and I really appreciate the artistry he brought. None of his current contemporaries have been able to match that album yet in my opinion. Its also the only album Ive ever bought.

Favorite songs were These Walls, Momma, Complexion, How Much a Dollar Cost, Mortal Man, Alright, and Wesley's Theory.

Most def a classic.

Yea it's not your typical Pharrell beat. Probably cuz it was also produced by Sounwave.

its wild how 2015 was that long ago. Probably my favorite year of hip hop post the late 2000s early 10s renaissance.

Lupe blessed us January that year. Drake in February then Kendrick dropped in March. Was still giving burn to ForestbHill Drive which came out in December 2014. It was a great year.
