Kenya was so shook they entered into a mutual defense pact with Ethiopia in 1964.
You can say we're dysfunctional, chaotic, short-sighted etc. But one thing you cannot say is Somalis are not about that action.
Speaking of now, Ethiopia (which is probably the most powerful army in the region) couldn't stay in Mogadishu for too long and they were fighting Shabab only.

But I doubt it. The reason I say that is because history shows otherwise. Somali tribes were pushing Oromos and Kenyans out as they expanded. In fact they may have been in present day Tanzania if the Brits didn't intervene.

I know of the Ajuran Sultanate, guess who lived in Rwanda during that time....nobody but pygmies. So if you really want to talk about 'oh but we were 2 years old', Somalia is literally 3,000 years older than central africa. Most of the region not entirely populated until 1300s.
But I don't know what that has to do with today.
