But Chris Paul was selfish because it was their best chance to win. Not his fault Doc didn't stagger him and Blake's minutes, or let Jamal Crawford run the offense, or not get a playnaking SF the entire time he was there. I also agree with K Mart in that it can be difficult to play with a guy like that. But if you're in any field where the demands of success are that high you'll be teamed with people who want it more than you.

Not just that, you would expect teams to get what he needs, because he a hof talent
But then again, we saw how Cleveland got down

It’s kind of hard to argue that In Lebron’s case because of how much success he’s had. But it’s definitely true. He can’t play off you..you’re going to have to play off him. Unless you’re a transcendent talent your game will be marginalized.

Look at Rodney Hood. That guy was almost a 20 point scorer in Utah...but now he cant get playing time because he can’t play his game with Bron. Dude has 3 rings though so there’s not much anyone can really say:yeshrug:

CP3 on the other hand you can definitely question. Lebron you can at least say he’s a fun guy to be around off the court, while CP3 has always had that unlikeable arrogance about him.

Rodney Hood wasnt good in Utah either

He was at 17ppg in Utah. And a decent defender. When he got to Cleveland he only averaged 11ppg and in the playoffs is currently at 5.2ppg. Not even close to what he once was.

Lebron deserves some of the blame for that. Hood used to be a versatile scorer who could handle the ball. Now he just spots up if he’s playing with Bron out there.

I actually appreciate dudes perspective on a lot of league shyt. The way he described Paul can't really be comprehended by those who don't understand the game.

People look at raw numbers and think how could Chris Paul ever be considered selfish? Kenyon broke it down well. Same way I view Bron. You look at Bron's numbers and think he's the definition of unselfish, but everything needing to run through him at all times is the epitome of selfish and hinders teammates more than helps.

If you picked up the stat sheet you would think CP and Bron are two of the most unselfish players ever, when it's really the opposite.

People have been conditioned to think "selfish" = "takes too nabt shots"

I don't know why. We all played basketball growing up. We'd all be salty as shyt with a nikka hogging the ball for 90% of the game even if he was so called "facilitating".

THATS THE THING.
MOST PPL WHO COMMENT ON THIS shyt
DIDNT PLAY BALL.

Yeah but CP3 is 100 times better than the average NBA player...

If the objective of the game is winning and not enjoying yourself...you are gonna want the ball in the hands of your best player...

CP3's problem throughout his career was the fact that he was better than everybody else...

The reason why he went to the Rockets...because for once, he ain't the best player on the team and somebody else can dribble the fukk out of the ball besides him...

Same reason why Lebron left the Cavs and went to Miami and then left Miami and went to the Cavs again...

Players like Lebron, Harden, and CP3 are so much better than everyone else with handling the ball and etc...they are stuck with it.

Unless you got a player...like Curry who can run around screens and etc and spot up and can really shoot the ball as well handle the ball...your best perimeter player is most likely a guy that dribble, score and pass he is gonna dominate every possession.

It's really not fun playing with a guy that is so much better than you and he knows it and you know it and you wanna win so you give him the ball and ain't passing that shyt back unless wide open or you under the rim to score...

Hood was scoring 17 with above average offense, or just shooting because no one else would? Either way Bron ball killed his career. Homie ain't even wanna check in during a blowout he so depressed :mjcry:

Curry also has multiple playmakers on his team in Dray, Iggy, Livingston, and KD. CP3 played off ball with Pargo in New Orleans but...yea.

Rodney Hood is an average player that got the green light on the perimeter because Hayward left...

Dude isn't all that...reminds me of John Salmons...

I prefer ball movement :hubie:

In the 2013 & 2014 Finals, the Spurs were excellent at this. They were swinging the rock around to multiple players every play. At least 2 - 3 passes before a good shot got off. I think play like that gets teammates more in rhythm than having one guy dribble for 19 seconds but that's my opinion :hubie:

Yeah but before Kerr came around...Curry was iso-ing dudes and handling the rock on some Harden shyt...

Also...

Livingston, Dre, and Dray can't even shoot that fukking well - Klay can't dribble for shyt...so it's just better that Livingston, Dre and Dray handle the ball because if not...defenses really wouldn't even guard Livingston, Dre and Dray until they get free throw line. Defenses already sag off like 10 feet from them and leave Draymond wide open for threes.

Which is why Curry is a GOAT guard because he makes everybody else around him better by passing him the fukking ball...:mjlol:

Yeah but Spurs didn't have anybody that was just outrageously better than everyone else.

Spurs started playing that way because Tim Duncan couldn't carry them offensively anymore. Tony Parker and Manu was slowing down. So they had to change.

Before Spurs played that ugly ass 3-2 offense and lived off of Duncan posting dudes up and just playing ugly ass post iso basketball.

You can win either way.

It's just...it's not fukking fun...I think players hate playing with somebody that is so transcendent on offense that they never get the ball.

I mean I cheered for the We Believe Warriors and them dudes were garbage but it was fun...:mjlol:

But them Spurs...shyt was wack...:yeshrug:
