This is very silly though. Is it more important for Rodney Hood to be the best he can be individually or for the team to be the best it can be as a whole? Most of the league can put up individual numbers if given free reign, but it won’t translate to wins. Giving Bron free reign has translated to a form of dominance in the league. We should override that for Rodney Hood? :dwillhuh:

That’s not the point though. The point I’m making is that average to above average players struggle to assimilate their games with Lebron. Some of that is because Lebron is so dominant...some of that is because Lebron insists on playing his style and his style only and rarely plays off guys.

You don’t think the Cavs would be better off if they could fully utilize Rodney Hood’s offensive skills? Why’d even trade for him if they didn’t want him be the player he always was?

Win or lose it’s one of the major reasons why Lebron is so tough to play with

People want to blame Lebron for everything....Hood shot 44% (career high) from the field after getting traded to Cleveland....The problem with Hood is that all he(and Clarkson) does is shoot the basketball...where are the reb, asst, stl, blk, and defense?...for his career he is avg 3.0r/2.0a/0.8s/0.2b in 27.5 mpg.....Those numbers are mediocre for any player that is 6'4 or taller....mind you,Hood is 6'8.

:dwillhuh:Hood and Clarkson are scorers. The Cavs didn’t get those guys to be all around players. They got them to do what they do well which is score. Hood in particular is one of the better isolation scorers in the league. Plus he’s a solid man to man defender.

And lol at a “career high 44%” so he’s taking 5 less shots to shoot 2% more and that’s supposed to be noteworthy?:skip:

Big Baby basically said the same thing re: his play style. Said it was difficult for teammates to get in the rhythm if he wasn't letting them get the ball.

I actually appreciate dudes perspective on a lot of league shyt. The way he described Paul can't really be comprehended by those who don't understand the game.

People look at raw numbers and think how could Chris Paul ever be considered selfish? Kenyon broke it down well. Same way I view Bron. You look at Bron's numbers and think he's the definition of unselfish, but everything needing to run through him at all times is the epitome of selfish and hinders teammates more than helps.

If you picked up the stat sheet you would think CP and Bron are two of the most unselfish players ever, when it's really the opposite.
And this is the very reason why I keep reiterating that we need to get rid of the box score. Too many folks have been brainwashed by it, that they no longer understand the actual game. 98% of the basketball discussions on this board, and in general, are based on it, instead of actually breaking down the game.

When someone said

“I don’t take players opinion seriously because they don’t know advanced stats”

I knew it was over :mjlol:

I was probably the first one to point out this dudes fake stats. It was just something his dikkriders used to say he makes people better and he’s a top 5 player. Results always show the truth though. Him being annoying isn’t a surprise either
You and me both, breh. I remember you and me were only part of a very few speaking that Gospel about his game.

I half heartedly believed you. I don't think it's as big a deal as it's being made out to be. Not like every teammate was beefing with him.
I'm more specifically talking about the #s part.

I mean the same shyt I've been telling you for a minute now was on full-display yesterday with all those garbage points he was getting, and not being aggressive enough when it counted; leading to folks referencing his #s out of context. I say the same shyt every single season.

I agree. And we can talk strategy another time but I think Chris blew it in that sense. He historically does well against GS because he has the skill set in isolation to kill any of their defenders. Last night he wanted to pass way too much when he should have gunned them down in the 3rd. Especially when he saw the rest of them sans Harden struggling off anything he created.

Just let Bron get 35 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. The team will be better for it :troll:
