Plus they don't like how players have taken control of their destiny . Requesting trades and leaving to team up with each other.

Damn shame these guys want the rich white owners to have all the power :scust:

Shout-out to Bron, he said fukk that :wow:
Except that Shaq and Barkley both gotta have amnesia if they forget that each of them did that repeatedly. :dead:

Barkley left Philly in the middle of his prime to join a Suns team that was already loaded. Shaq split from Orlando for his first big contract to run to the Lakers. Then Barkley at 33yo still coming off an All-NBA season went to the Rockets to try to form the Hakeem-Drexler-Barkley superteam and finally get his ring. Shaq in his prime begged for Malone and Payton to come over (both coming off of 20ppg seasons) to form the Shaq-Kobe-Malone-Payton superteam. Then disgruntled Shaq demanded a trade and told them to send him to Miami so he could team up with Wade.

They were both running around and trying to team up all over the league, it would be dumb as fukk if they were jealous at current players for it.

Nah, Shaq was disrespectful, but he wasn't wrong. Oldheads who were actually great will be the first to admit when someone new is on their level.

Some players are bitter a$$hole. Some are not. wilt talked shyt about other players. other old greats gave props. Shaq is just bitter and annoying. it is no a generational thing it is personality based.

It’s crazy how people tried to revise the NBA history and pretend Super Teams never existed till a decade ago:russ:

Then Shaq went to Phoenix with Nash and Amare...
Then he ran to Cleveland with Bron....
Then he ran over to Boston with KG and Pierce

I totally disagree, its not about the money. Some of the superstardom in the past paved the way for the newer generation to make money.

This was about pride & ego... Shaq & TNT got exactly what they wanted which was a click bait soundbite. There was no need for him to say that to Mitchell like that especially given how sensitive Shaq is. Mitchell handled that with class and made Shaq look even dumber.

And when did shaq become the authoritative figure head of big men when one can argue its a reach to even put him 8th or 9th all time and he the luxury of prime kobe/wade.. Not saying he wasn't great at some point in his career, but he was also selfish and very lazy and hes way too sensitive to throw stones at anyone...
But it always reverts back to the money players. If the Clipps are playing on TNT Shaq won't say one word on Zubac and his Great Value $6 million dollar a year salary. But get the Jazz, Philly, Bucks, etc. He's going to have a field day and go all in on those bigs on those teams.

And yeah of course the previous generation will feel like they paved the way and should've made way more salary than they did.. and I get that. But most of their commentary these days is coming from a pure envious jealous stance of the disparity in the contracts from back then to now. Their whole argument, platform, and foundation is, "These dudes making all this money and they can't take any criticism, *ahem* I mean motivation, from the old heads?":what:

"I got rings so I got G-14 clearance to say whatever I want to a present day player.. right Ernie?" :shaq:
