Offensively they are in my opinion, but their defense at the center position has been sorely lacking so far. None of their centers were defending well at the rim last I looked. That's something they have to fix. For all the problems the Heat's lack of size presented, they defended the paint very well. If the warriors are gonna win it again, they gotta stop the bleeding on defense.

I agree....however Kerr never plays centers down the stretch anyway. Even when we had Bogut and Ezeli. Maybe he'll play Jones because he's athletic and can run the floor and has shown the ability to make a jump shot in college.

Oh they never play the starting center at the end, but every possession matters on defense. The starting lineup has a defensive rating around 110 right now. That's 10 points per 100 possessions worse than the closing lineup. Zaza has to defend better than that. After a few years of deep playoff runs, minutes start to pile up and rest matters more. Being able to put games away early matters more now.

If we depend on Zaza for defense we will be assed out. However, McGee is better than any rim protector Cleveland has.

Warriors are top 5 in blocks so far this season btw. Doesn't equate rim protection but it does show effort.
