All he's saying is that there's more to life than basketball. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone is different.

People think that the Kobe, Jordan "mentality" is the only sort of mentality one NEEDS to have in order to be successful.

And even so, success is measured differently by different people. We gotta stop the madness.

Lol @ people trying to question KD... Not a fan of his but we have seen him make the big shots plenty of times. Just last year yall was saying he was more of a killler than bron, now that bron won a title the spotlight is on him to get one next. Unfortunatly russ getting hurt stopped that, but if healty them nikkas would still be playing. I have no issue with what he said, and the thunder will be in the mix next year

Did you have these questions about KD before game 2 of the Finals last year?

I've had those questions about KD ever since I started realizing that he didn't take a majority of the shots between him and Russy. I aint jumping on the bandwagon. Even with Russy they may have lost to the Grizz. I haven't put that loss on KD not one bit.

Kobe attempted more shots than Shaq in their last 4 years together did you question Shaq because of that? I'm not shytting on you I just get tired of circumstance based analysis. If everything had broken KD's way over the last year and he had a ring and was working on another none of these questions would be asked and he would be the undisputed "Clutch Killer". :usure: You would be questioning him right now if he was a defending champ and Finals MVP?

I can't believe I have to defend this booger-eating Dirk Nowitski with melanin, but I don't understand what he's done wrong.

But you talking in a what if sense. And he isn't a defending champ or a Finals MVP so that point you trying to make is obsolete. And if Kobe attempted more shots than Kobe it was only cuz Shaq missed so many games and we know Shaq didn't care about the regular season as much. Its not the person not taking the most shots who deserves blame, its the person who is taking the majority, such as Kobe and Russy. Your lead guard (which is what Kobe and Russy are) are responsible for getting you the ball.

My point stands. You are only questioning him because of his circumstances. You aren't even trying to deny that you wouldn't have anything to say if things broke his way last year. Durant played great in last years Finals, certainly well enough to win. He just happened to run into a nikka playing better on a team that was clicking on all cylinders. I just can't get over the fact the he was Mr. Clutch and the guy nikkas would want to build their team around going into the Finals and now, less than a year later after a great individual Finals and one struggle series with his two best teammates from last season gone against one of the best defensive teams in the league, we have questions about his mentality and makeup. :comeon:

BTW I was referencing shots per game with Shaq and Kobe. Kobe took more shots per game than Shaq in both the regular season and postseason those years. You got me confused now though. In your last post you say this:

Its Russy's fault for not giving the ball to KD as much as he should. And its Kd's fault for not calling for the ball like a star should. Does that make you happy now? Now find the post where I ever blamed KD for losing the Finals last year or this series this year. And if you don't know bruh, every player when questioned is because of circumstances.

I never said or implied that you blamed him for those things. My point was that you allowed circumstances beyond his control to impact how you looked at him and that is silly to me. Yeah I know players get questioned because of circumstances and I think it is stupid, myopic, and lazy. Suddenly this nikka isn't clutch and doesn't have "it" because of a bunch of things that he couldn't do anything about? :dwillhuh: Him not calling for the ball enough would be cool if things broke right and they won a ring and were in the process of going for another? :comeon: I am not questioning whether or not people subscribe to that thought process I am questioning the logic and validity of that thought process.

KD might be "the bad guy" next season. Judging by how he's handling it now it may be too much for him.

I feel what he was saying though.

Again not once have I called Durant not clutch. But I did say its some things he needs to work on as far as reaching the heights he are capable of. If you think KD is a finished product and not deserving or criticism than you are a delusional fan. You keep talking about if they won a title. But the fact of the matter is that they didn't so your whole point is irrelevant cuz you are talking in a hypothetical sense.
