It's warped because he's suggesting that the price of his shoes says something about the quality of player he is. I guess we should expect him to be twice the player than the KD wearing the $80 shoe, right, since the price of his shoe doubled ? :mjpls: I mean isn't that what he's suggesting--in evaluating how good a player is we should factor in if said player has signature shoes and how expensive those shoes are. Or maybe he was just being generous all those years by offering them at a discounted rate. :shaq2:

Its not warped though, the price of his shoes do reflect his value as a player. The more they pay him the more they need to recoup the investment, his pay is based on his value as a player.

He is suggesting that his player value correlates to his shoe value and it is true as I've already described and there is nothing warped in reality about that or factually incorrect about it, it was just phrased oddly.

What is weird is how some in this thread are trying to act like he needs or owes people low prices for his shoes, he doesn't, if he did that would be nice, but he doesn't owe anyone anything.
