Its not warped though, the price of his shoes do reflect his value as a player. The more they pay him the more they need to recoup the investment, his pay is based on his value as a player.

He is suggesting that his player value correlates to his shoe value and it is true as I've already described and there is nothing warped in reality about that or factually incorrect about it, it was just phrased oddly.

What is weird is how some in this thread are trying to act like he needs or owes people low prices for his shoes, he doesn't, if he did that would be nice, but he doesn't owe anyone anything.
I get Wat u saying.

But dude made that I ain't forget where I came from. I couldnt afford...

But then to say that

It's kind of Fuked up

"If they were $125 I wasn't getting them, but $88, that's reasonable," Durant said. "Plus, I had a brother, too, so my mom wasn't paying $120 for two pairs of shoes. I put them at $88 and a lot of people have been buying them and that's what it's been like for the last couple years."

"I told Nike to make a foamposite pair of the KD IV," Durant said. "Hopefully people in DC will pick them up and support me. They always do that anyway but I'm sure if I throw some foams out there they will do it even more."

What an arrogant answer. fukk these athletes man. They got such a warped sense of reality and how important they are.
Judging by Twitter the last few days I think we're the ones with a false sense of reality. Athletes are celebs now. The white man made it that way but that's another story for another day

KD is the corniest cac in the NBA.

Reminds me of when everyone was taking turns calling out Dwight Howard and shyt. This lanky fukk boy called him soft or something. Like oooooh okay KD. You a tough guy now huh lmao

Durant remembers having three pairs of shoes when he was a teenager and having one pair that he wore all around Seat Pleasant, Md.

"We couldn't afford the Pennys, the Pippens, the Jordans," Durant told The Oklahoman on Thursday. "I had one pair of Team Jordan's, and I wore them everywhere. I hooped in them, played football in them. I had some Shaqs from K-Mart and a pair of Tim Duncans. But I couldn't get a bunch of different ones like I wanted."
