The BLUF is it was a bytch ass move to leave a title contender in the Thunder to run to the team that just beat you when you were up 3-1 and clearly could beat them:

Considering they failed to beat them 4 times out of 7 with no major injuries even with a 3-1 advantage, maybe, just maybe they couldn't beat them?

didn't he complain about everyone wanting to go to the Heat and Lakers way back? :russ:

what a bytch
he complained about Penny Hardaway coming out of retirement to join the Heat. It was a fake rumor, but he did not know.

He said he never had a problem with it.

maybe they could of improved the team and come back and won it all...You know with him actually leading his team to the title instead of running to a ready made team.

either way he made the choice he felt was best for him can't knock it

If Durant didn't go to Golden State, nobody would beat Cleveland. Besides the fact that you'd have 3-4 teams beating each other up in the west for a month and Cleveland would be able to sleepwalk to the Finals again, the Cavs are fukking LOADED. None of these western teams as constructed besides this current iteration of GS would have enough to compete.

Ehhh
Nobody really thought that before the year started. Part of what has improved CLE has been their O which was boosted by Korver and D Will who were mid season pickups. Sure they'd likely be the best team in the East still but LeBron is always in the Finals. The West is who's providing real contenders and KD killed that. And again, the reality is that GS is a full head above even Cleveland. As loaded as they are, nobody really thinks the Cavs can make this even a 6 or 7 game series unless they play at full max level and LeBron plays out of his mind.

Like what? You think Victor Oladipo was gonna be the gamechanger?

Durant went home empty-handed 9 years in a row. The Thunder had their shot and couldn't make shyt happen, he went somewhere where he had confidence it would.

Woj also said Horford was likely going to re-sign with the Hawks and was wrong.

Maybe.

But I get the feeling that what happened last year was as good as it was going to get. They had every advantage in the series and blew it. 2013 Westbrook gets hurt, 2014 Ibaka gets hurt, 2015 Durant gets hurt, last year they were finally healthy for a playoff run and couldn't get the job done. And I think after 9 years you should have the right to move on to greener pastures, whether you think it was a "bytch move" or not, it can't be denied that he went to a better situation :manny:
