The counter argument is what makes the 1 game Serbia played against the U.S. last year that they didn’t get blown out in more indicative of how they match up against us than the two they got blown out in?

The counter to that is that the last game is the one that counted and was the elimination game

Perfect example is France beating Team USA in 2021 in the earlier Olympic rounds, and Team USA then rose to the occasion to beat France in the Gold medal game

I’m just saying that if Team A and Team B play each other 3 times in a 2 week span and Team A blows them out the 1st game, blows them out the 2nd game, then wins the 3rd game despite being down 13 to start the 4th…the takeaway should not be that Team B is close to Team A
