I don't know how present he was in his son's life when he was growing up. It seems mom was the one pulling the heavy weight, but while it isn't an ideal situation, I'm glad to see he has his dad in his life and that there's a relationship there. I recently just reconnected with my dad after 20 years. It's weird, but its aight. The dude is still alive in kicking. He helped bring me into this world. The least I can do is get to know him and at least try.
