T.I definitely has classics....'Trap Muzik', 'Urban Legend', 'KING', 'Paper Trail', and an assortment of songs and cuts over the years, I love a lot of T.I's music, on a really personal level, I used to hustle to Trap Muzik, you can't buy that kind of artist loyalty and appreciation, but I think Gates is putting more of himself in his music, he is from a different generation, TI has a lot of that Jay persona, where he just doesn't quite get personal much, even when he does.....Gates has made trap and hustle songs in the same vein as T.I, he's more aggressive and raw, wild and hard to predict then T.I, I won't say he's a better artist, but I think he's made some comparable music....and he's definitly a product of TI influence on the game....'Plug Daughter', '2 Phones', 'Neon Lights', and dozens others are in the same vein as some of T.I's best work....

he spits more introspective shyt than Flip though... i dont compare Gates to TI but id compare him to like Souljah Slim/BG/Juve in that you get some hood shyt...some introspective shyt...some booty shake shyt...and some shyt for the ladies all wrapped in one.

I agree.... Kevin Gates can spit.

And they both can make song for females without being Corny and they both have polished flows for Southern rappers

I just hope he doesn't focus to much on female songs and still go hard because he out raps 95% of these new cats

If those 4 albums are classics then the barometer is really low you must think mediocre albums don't exist.

I'd say Juvenile influence is definitely there and I hadn't looked at it like that before with the melodies he does, but personally I think it's disrespectful to a legend to compare Kevin Gates to Soulja Slim :francis:
To me thats like comparing YG to Pac, yea YG's cool and he's doing his thing right now, he got shot but he definitely isn't anywhere near Pac :yeshrug:
