Lack of Black wages and wealth matter 1000 times more than Black financial literacy.

Can't really financial literacy your way out of low wages

The Black financial literacy discourse whether on purpose not distorts the real issue and that is the multi generational financial damage that has been done to Black Americans for decades

The 1st point is :mjlol:, The gap is by design. You can help your situation, "communial change" requires more than research.

- "We have to look at the world we are in, and how we are set up to lose"

These 2 are gold. You understand these 2 points and you'll be the type of person retiring in your 50s.

But the big change is black people have money now when most of us never needed to understand anything beyond surviving paycheck-to-paycheck.

While that's true, there are still people who are employed in jobs with solid pay like trades or truck driving but somehow fukk up that money. In America spending is so encouraged that some of us don't even know what to do with the money when we get it and just start buying shyt we don't even need like more cars.

Cars are the woat investment

All facts. It’s no-brainier that adult finances should be mandatory curriculum in high school. The system is purposely trying to keep the masses ignorant, and as usual, Black folks are positioned to be most screwed by this.

THE SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK IF EVERYBODY IS FINANCIALLY LITERATE.

Nah. This is just excuse making. What financial literacy and knowledge is being kept from us today in the 21st century? You can go on Youtube right now and learn about finances, buy books at Amazon, and take online courses on the net. People just lack interest in actually learning. Too much instant gratification in our community :manny:. Until that's overcome, nothing of substance will change in the black community for the better collectively.

I just hope people are out here teaching instead of just talking. Kevin came up in my age group so that’s definitely true for us. It shouldn’t have to be true for these kids coming up now. There’s way too much info out here now. Hopefully people are being fed out here.

So what you're say is....if it becomes common sense and every person over age of 18 becomes financially literate, the system itself will collapse?

So we need stupid people to keep the facade running, correct? Just educate everyone about finances, and everything collapses.
