idk man, I believe in pro experience more than age. This is Kyrie's 4th year in the league while Lillard was a rookie.
It goes both ways.

Lillard had time to further develop his game in college and came into the league playing Robin to Aldridge's Batman, whereas Kyrie was drafted to a team with little-to-no talent and asked to carry them as if he were a star. He's never played with someone as talented as Love before, it's gonna take time for him to adapt to sharing the load and building chemistry with another star offensive frontcourt player. Lillard's had three seasons playing with one of the best PFs (if not the best), arguably a top 5 SG and arguably a top 5 SF in the league. It's not exactly fair to say that Kyrie and Love should be playing like those two in Portland when neither of them have played with any notable talent. shyt the biggest offensive guard threat that Love has played with prior to this season is Kevin Martin.
IM not saying they should be Kobe and Shaq in the early aughts, but Im not buying using Lillard's first year as a barometer for anything when comparing these two tandems. Its not a good comparison point.

How's saying that 'there's no reason why Kyrie and Love can't play like Lillard and Aldridge' any better? The point of the reference was that, you can't just put two players together and expect results straight away, it doesn't always work like that. It took Lillard and Aldridge more than an entire season to build their partnership.

this is what happens when you hire a coach who has only coached amateur basketball his entire career.

I agree wholeheartedly. Love has been exposed as overrated for a while now. I called this shyt last year when I noticed how bad Minny record was and they had a good team.

Kyrie is overrated as hell too. I remember mfers on here talking that Kyrie >> Wall bullshyt smh
Kyrie has been called overrated so much that he probably is now underrated. What makes him 'overrated'? Yall just throw that term on anything like it's hot sauce and shyt.

Calling Kyrie overrated isn't just "throwing the term around."

The fact that he started in last year's all-star game, listed in people's top 5 PGs, made the Olympic team and plays the way he does = very overrated.

He was 22 years old in his rookie season, just like Kyrie is now 22 years old. Point is you can't be comparing their situation to what Love and Irving are currently going through. It's completely different, and it's gonna take time before we can gauge whether or not they can have success playing together

Also so now we are taking away credit because you stayed in school for 4 years, became a man, maturing, earning a degree, instead off coming out like a 18 year old freshie and potentially bounce around the league like all those 5 stars recruits do....Oh okay :mjdrinkinnnggg:

I think you'll find it is, outside of Cavs fans hardly anybody on this board watched Cleveland games prior to this season (they probably still don't). It only took a few dudes to say he's overrated, next thing ya'know pretty much everyone is running round saying he's overrated - when they don't watch him play on a consistent basis.
The fact that he started in last year's all-star game.
You do realize that he was voting in by the fans right, mostly down to his flashy type of play? Being an All-Star really doens't mean shyt at the end of the day, it's basically a popularity contest, it has little-to-no bearing on how players are rated.
listed in people's top 5 PGs,
The problem with that is, the term 'top 5' has always been used ambiguously, especially when it concerns the PG position as dudes' lists are forever changing. Plus I haven't heard too many dudes on this board call him a top 5 PG - Westbrook, Curry, Paul, Lillard, Rondo, Lowry, etc etc have been been put into that group more than Kyrie has.
made the Olympic team and plays the way he does = very overrated.
Did you conveniently forget that after making the Olympic team, he went on to become the MVP of the basketball World Cup last year? How the hell the hell can you use that as a case for him being overrated? Yall dudes just making up shyt out of thin air at this point. HE WAS THE MVP nikka.

Look at what Dame and LaMarcus doing in Portland.

Why cant Kyrie/Love do that :patrice:
- LA>>> Love
-LA and Lillard been together longer
-nicolas Batum and Wesley Matthews are underrated
-Blazers gotta good coach
-Anderson Varejao and Tristan Thompson cant hold down the paint like Robin Lopez.

I'm not taking away credit for him staying in school, Boy where your head at? I'm just giving perspective to dudes thinking that 'there's no reason Kyrie and Love shouldn't be playing like Lillard and Aldridge'. I'm saying that you can't compare the two situations as if they've had equal time to build chemistry and similar supporting casts. It's an unfair comparison.
