I think they need to hedge their bets, Kevin and Kyrie are just too injury prone imo

I guess they really have no better options. :yeshrug:
How is Kevin Love too injury prone? A guy yanked his arm out the socket. Not his fault

are people seriously forgetting that he was a pretty awful fit alongside the cavs last year or did his injury make everyone forget that? :usure:

the thompson extension is nice simply because he's a good player and fukking gilbert's pockets. one thing i love about lebron right now is that he's making gilbert pay the fukk up. :lolbron:
LOL, the way LeBron is forcing Gilbert to give everyone a huge contract Gilbert's gonna end up not even making a profit off of LeBron's return. :dead:

Trust me, he gonna make his money. I don't think LeBron is forcing anything, these nikkas (+glibert) bout to own downtown Cleveland if they win a championship. Like i'd be down to tear down the browns stadium and build a 2k foot statue of a nba trophy (lol not really doe).

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
SMH @ the posters on The Coli more worried about Dan Gilbert's pockets than Dan Gilbert himself though.

He dropped $43 million in luxury taxes after LeBron left just for the chance to draft Kyrie Irving.

People don't understand how rich he is and how willing he is to spend money to contend.

TYRONE GA!
So next season...

22 mill for love
16.75 mill for Kyrie (extension kicks in)
9.7 mill for Varejao
5 mill for Mosgov
2.85 mill for Mike Miller
7.15 mill for Tristan (last season on his rookie deal before his extension kicks in for 16-17)
10 mill for Brendan Hayward
.85 million for Joe Harris
22 million for Bron on a 1 year deal

That's around 96 million

Cap is 67.1 mill next season with an 81.6 million luxury tax line.

Gilbert gonna be paying out the ass on that luxury tax. That's still not even a complete roster.

Did JR Smith opt out?
What about Shump?

If they stay, the roster for next season is over 100 million. :skip: Gilbert gonna be paying at least 60 million in luxury tax penalties with that roster. :wtf:

They'll be at or over $200 million when it's all said and done with luxury tax included.

I don't know why anyone is surprised this was the plan all year.

Tristan's rookie deal ended this season. He didn't get an extension, that's a new contract

And Shump re-signed for 4 yrs $40 mil

This was apart of the meeting they had last summer.

Gilbert had to agree to spend for the rest of LeBron's prime.

Gilbert is making it all back tenfold tho.

He was worth $800 million when he bought the Cavs 10 years ago. He's worth $5 billion now.

Doesn't it kick in next year for Tristan? I see many sites showing him still at 7 mill for 2015/2016 coming up.
