I'm not sure what you're referring to.

I agree with you that several of Bron's teams were better than MJ's teams. But MJ's teams were better relative to their competition. MJ played in the expansion era where 6 expansion teams were added over a 7-year period and it diluted the fukk out of the talent except on the Bulls. No other superstar he had to face had the combination of a coach as good as Phil, a #2 as good as Scottie, a rebounder/defender as good as Horace Grant/Rodman, shooters as good as Paxson/Armstrong and Kerr/Kukoc, and solid bodies giving depth 8-10 deep. He played teams like the Jazz who had shytty ass secondary scoring options and were starting multiple white stiffs in the frontcourt all season long, or teams like the Sonics who basically could only put 5 legit basketball players on the court (Frank Brickowski was a STARTER on that team). Drexler was supposed to be his big competition and he had Terry Porter as a #2 who couldn't touch Pippen in his wildest dreams.

It doesn't make sense to compare MJ and LBJ's squads straight up when talking about their accomplishments, because they didn't face the same competition. You can only compare them relative to their competition. And the Bulls lineups were great relative to their comp.

No way LBJ ever wins a Finals where he puts up performances like MJ had against the Sonics in 1996 or against the Jazz in 1998, for example. Even MJ's 1997 performance probably doesn't win any of LBJ's Finals.
Disagree with all of this but don't feel like going back n forth

I'll wait to revisit this after The Finals, as inevitably his standing in the GOAT debate will be a hot topic everywhere. For me nothing can change whether he wins or loses----->Michael is the only guy with a real case against LeBron. Whether that makes LeBron 1 or 2 is inconsequential to me, he ain't 3...

Your standard you're holding against LeBron makes no sense. Mike has no chips and no Finals appearances without Pippen. Kareem has one title and two Finals appearances without Magic. Wilt has one chip and two Finals appearances without West and/or Baylor...

Magic has zero chips and one Finals appearance without Kareem. Bird has no titles or Finals appearances without McHale. Shaq has no titles and one Finals appearance without Kobe or Wade. Oscar never made a Finals without Kareem. Hakeem has one title and two Finals appearances without Drexler...

Bill Russell never made a single Finals without playing next to Cousy, Havlicek, and a whole team, literally, of Hall Of Famers...

Kobe did win two of his chips and run to three Finals without Shaq, but still saw the majority of his championship success with him...

Duncan is the only GOAT candidate who won most of his championships, and made most of his Finals, without a Top 50 teammate, so unless you're gonna argue for Duncan being the greatest to ever do it, your point about LeBron is weak...
They didn't hop from team to team every few years. Even after playoff failures. That deserves way more respect.

Cause every one of them played for a stacked team or the Lakers/Celtics their entire runs. :mjlol:

LeBron put up with the fukking Cleveland Cavaliers for 11 seasons of his career. NO other GOAT candidate has a case like that one. No one put in that much time for a team that was that shytty and had that much success.

You're talking like it would have been better for his legacy if he just jumped to the Lakers on purpose once his rookie contract was up and then stayed there. :francis:

(Not to mention that Wilt, KAJ, Shaq all hopped to better teams and it gets ignored. Russell, Magic and Duncan had stacked teams from the moment they arrived. Bird had a stacked team from his 2nd year on. And MJ's was stacked with talent from his 5th year, before his rookie contract was even up, until the moment he retired. )

shyt is sad :mjlol:

At the time Lebron as an individual was better than the Celtics Big 3 individually, he just didn't have the squad in Cleveland. We saw what happened in Miami and Brooklyn.

So what's Pierce and KG gonna say when both Ray Allen and Rondo finish with more rings than them two? :mjlol:

Imagine both of them doubling that ring count on the back Bron himself too..:mjlol:

That's a retarded ass criteria for G.O.A.T. Jordan won all six of his rings with another superstar.

the entire GOAT argument is retarded in and of itself...

comparing players in different eras is dumb....the NBA today isnt even the same nba from 10 years ago when lebron started winning championships let alone what it was 20+ years ago when MJ was winning his

Them kats want to be the late 80s detroit pistons so bad.

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

they are not even the 04 Pistons.

what kinda revisionist history are they on? You would think they had some magical run past 08. bean came back in 2010 and deleted them on the way to another chip.

I don’t get why this Celtics squad is so weird. Feel some type of way about Ray but then give Bron a backhanded complement while shytting on the current gen.

Yes, a bunch of these current dudes look up to Bron but everyone isn’t trying to be team Clutch. They wanna get it on their own (like Giannis) or already got it on their own (like Kawhi)
