we are not holding obama and his administration accountable for these actions, thats the definition of a pass.
The juxtaposition you're drawing is silly. You're comparing the President of the United States to an irrelevant troll. My point is that Khalid Muhammad was a buffoon who espoused a cartoonishly silly racist, conspiratorial worldview.
im pointing out a simple and rather obvious double standard.
you degraded khalid because of his ignorance and threats of violence.
but yet you respect obama and his administration despite the fact they are deceitful and commit numerous acts of violence.
in your mind khalid is defined by his shortcomings, but obama and his presidency arent, and im wondering why the double standard.
and this is coming from someone who likes obama as a person. i think he's doing the best he can. but the beast is the beast and it's gonna eat regardless of who the figurehead is. but as the head of the beast he is now accountable for all actions of the beast because he is the president.
you hold gates accountable for what does and doesnt happen at microsoft, like jobs was with apple, puff for bad boy, etc.
If you're logic is "the President is responsible for killing people through military action, and Khalid Muhammad never killed anyone, therefore he Muhammad is a more admirable person," then by the same token wouldn't a KKK grand dragon or a neo-Nazi group leader also be more admirable than Obama, as long as they never killed anyone?
thats not my logic at all.
i respect khalid for the fact he stood up and fought for his people. do i agree with everything he said? no. but i know he spoke a lot more truth about the society that we live in than the obama administration has. he wasnt afraid to speak up about the white racism, about the social inequalities, about people of color coming together in unity. all of that is admirable imo. and i dont hear obama or his people talking about any of that.
plus khalid inspired a generation of young intelligent and militant leaders who also see this society for what it is, and who actively seek community solutions to community problems.
also you have to remember it was the oppression of this system that created men like khalid. the system is so unjust that it drives people go to great lengths to see the oppression stopped.
whenever you post i get this sense of privilege from you. like you have little sympathy and certainly no empathy for the struggles people are enduring.
to be colored, low-income, and living in a low-income environment with little access to opportunity, shyt can get hectic b.
ultimately the united states is a nation that has never hesitated to resort to unjust violence to achieve its aims... so you cant be surprised when the people coming up in those environments act the same way.
obama, the united states, and anyone who supports either of these entities has no moral ground to stand on when criticizing khalid. period.
