Basically, he wanted to be traded and they had a trade to Denver lined up but Denver wanted Kap to take a pay cut and he said no, so that deal was nixed.

He had 2 years of his contract at the beginning of that season, but I think no guarantee money, so when the season was over they fired Chip and hired Shannahan. Kyle said he didn't want Kap as QB and Lynch told him they were going to cut him later or they could release him at that time. He chose the release.

I read a tweet this year from Eric Reid that said He'd and people behind the scenes were not that supportive and Jed actually "begged" Reid and other players not to kneel. I'll see if I can find the tweet...

This is just me speculating, but they probably wanted to drop the assistant head coach designation (if they can only have so many assistant head coaches) and give it to another coach? Maybe Ryan's or McDaniels if they aren't assistant head coaches? Dropping the designation might've triggered the pay cut.

Those titles are mostly ceremonial anyway. You don't gotta cut his pay to give someone else a raise. what are you talking about? The team talent wise wasn't as good in those years the team looked like "shyt".

And there's been plenty of folks saying Jimmy played shytty even during wins. Where are you getting your information? There's plenty of posts where cats were shytting on Jimmy for playing like Jimmy, but we still won because other folks came through. The year we went to the Super Bowl with Jimmy Kyle went out of his way to make sure Jimmy couldn't fukk up drives. Do you not remember the packers game where he passed for 77 yards?? The Super Bowl was the only game he had more than 140 yards passing and over 20 attempts in the playoffs that year and he rewarded us by missing Sanders deep and throwing 2 interceptions.
