I don't neg much at all, nothing personal, but can't talk about my guy like that :manny:

But dude was off the charts. They said he had "piss-poor" coverage skills @Raul posted that lil excerpt
:what:? Nah fam. Piss poor is a bad word for it, but Sean was really coming into his own. His size (pause) and speed combo was what left scouts drooling. He surely was what a safety is when you think of the position. Could he cover like Ed? Nah, but had he had a few more seasons, he wouldve been close. Dude had a feel for the game like no other, played a bit reckless and out of control at times, but the intimidation factor plus the speed to "go get it" made him truly dangerous. Offensive mentality once he got his hands on the ball, and they were CONSTANTLY near or on the ball, dude was a threat all over the field. Like that excerpt said, he was really putting it all together in his last season, he was becoming a problem, shame he died before we got a chance to really see what his potential could've been...take a look at that NFL Network A NFL Life, Sean Taylor...must see TV

Side note Mark Barron = Sean Taylor in my book. Dude average 90 tackles his 1st two season wit TB..then moves to STL has to learn a whole new position made specifically for him..that hybrid SS/LB Sean really was...and had 116 tackles last year. Got paid good chicken too

Off topic:
I never understood why Sean Taylor is so highly admired. I dont recall him being that much better than other great DBs of his time. :lupe:
I mean..living in Miami (at the time) i knew homie was loved by the locals but the love on a national level seems to not necessarily be football related.
He was a safety who was on a dominant incline. Led the league in Ints before he got hurt and later murdered.

Still the only DB that could jump ball with prime Randy Moss

Cowboys should've drafted him instead of this scrub Morris Claiborne, but nah you wildin with that comparison. Barron isn't the same kind of athlete

Nah....his decision making the year he passed was ridiculous. Had more range than Reed. His head finally caught up to his athleticism. Should have had 9 ints in 8 games before he passed. Dropped 3 of them

You didn't know, I joked with you a bit and then I gave an explanation right after too but I get it, you were mad at my poorly conveyed joke...I'll be the bigger man and apologize fam. My bad. Didn't mean to get you bent out of shape lol. Like I told you in the "neg" do ya googles tho, once you see it, you'll understand why homie was the player we thought he was... :yeshrug: peace
