I made a thread kinda about this, not just limiting to parents but other formal names for other people. Like maybe you dnt call your brother by his name but a nickname or you grew up hearing your dad called by his first name so that’s what u call him or whatever. Like I only call one of my siblings by his first name the rest are by like nicknames.

parents, no, but otherwise it's up to the adult. i'm very informal, and at times immature, i don't like the formality that comes with addressing me by my last name or putting "ms." in front of my first name so kids are free to call me by my name. it's more in line with my personality.

my nephew calls me by my first name as well, no aunt/auntie (unless he's trying to be cute) but i'm also only 12 years older than him, so wasn't nobody trying to be "auntie" at 12/13 years old :manny:
