Never called my parents by their first name but tf else am I supposed to call people outside of that:gucci:

Unless its my real aunty/uncle or Godparent you’re on first name basis because thats your name

I think "Mr. or Mrs. First name" is appropriate. Growing up I was taught that's how I should address family friends and adults that my mom was on a first name basis with :yeshrug:

I'm from San Diego :yeshrug:

my mom's best friend was "Miss Wendy" growing up...neighbors parents were Miss or Mister and then the first name. :manny:

My mom is one of 12 though so we had enough aunts and uncles growing up :mjlol:

that's common here in the states for kids addressing parents' friends/peers, "miss joyce" "mister justin".

just from my observations it's the older generation that does it, 50's/60's born. most of my uncles and my mother refer to my grandmother by her first name

people I know in their 20's-30's I've very rarely heard it

I'm in here like :mindblown: because I don't know any other way to do it

Anybody clearly older than you get the "Mr./Ms." treatment

Your parents? :sheeeeeeeit:

I honest to God couldn't tell you how many times I've actually said my mother's name out loud without " 's son" behind it :russ:

You just don't do it

I been calling my pops by his street name ( not his real name) since I was a kid and my pops allowed it.

When I heard Pimpin Ken speaking on how his pops demanded his kids call him by his street name and why his pops demanded it...I understood.
