I don't think that's the case though it looks like it. According to reports, the Eagles were going to cut McCoy but they called around to see if they could trade him for someone else; it apparently took Buffalo 20 minutes to say yes.

Its quite stupid that Chip didn't get a pick for the trade imo. I would have at least asked for a 3rd.
