I rented and beat StreetFighter 2010 on the NES (lol at what they envisioned for the year 2010 now that I think about it)

I only tried twice, and both years I tried, Blockbuster World Championships? I made the regional finals which was NBAJAM, Clayfighter 2 I think and TMNT Tournament Fighters
I bought SFIII snes for the 79.99 it debuted at in America at a Toys R Us
I lived in arcades playing MK, MKII, Time Soldiers/Warriors whatever where the main character had a chainsaw
I played Way of the Warrior on 3D0
I was a beast at Samurai Showdown 1 & 2 especially which still is fun today
Fatal Fury series once it hit SNES since most of us didn't have a Neo-Geo

Now a days, games try to implement a combo system that sucks. Has changed and ruined fighting games, thats why only weirdos consistently play them Only Killer Instincts combo system was fun, the rest is more work than fum imo. Now you guys here talking about how professionals in your area... like

We can all form an opinion, but unless you played the game its just a thought basically.
Reviews have been more than positive, so anyone saying otherwise is just hating

Maybe it's just me, but I don't hype games that I don't intend on playing a lot/buying.

When I get a fighting game, I actually dive in to it heavy and try to get good at it. What's the point of playing a fighting game if you're just doing so to beat people who suck at it? Or the CPU on easy? That goes back to me saying, if you're not going to pick up this KI and try and be good in it, then just shut the fukk in hyping it.

I only have fun in the genre if I'm competitive in the game I'm playing it in. Now you might be one of those nikkas that just likes have fun getting their ass handed to them, but that's not me. Whatever floats your boat breh.

In simpler terms, I'm saying that unless you're going to take the time out to try and be good in the game (I won't say master it cause I'm sure you'll suck in this joint, just like Courtdog) then shut the fukk up hyping it. You'll play the game for a few months if that, get your ass handed to you, and then you won't pick the shyt up again. But since it's an Xbox One exclusive you'll keep bringing the shyt up when you have NO intention of being competitive in the game.

Fighting games are different than "every" game moron. There's a decent fighting game community in Chicago, so when I look at a fighting game I'm only going to consider the ones that I can see myself participating in some tournaments in.

You keep saying that I just have to have something negative to say about the game because it's a One exclusive when I'm not even saying shyt negative about the game really. Even if this dropped on PS4 I wouldn't be that interested in it, because I know I wouldn't really feel like putting in the effort to getting good at it.

I actually stopped playing fighting games for months because they take too much of my time trying to learn the ins and outs of them.

I think it's clear that I'm talking about fighting games and my personal thoughts on playing them... But even with all that said, you somehow come to this conclusion...

I even say yes, I'm only going to put the time and effort in learning a fighting game if I intend to play in local tournaments for it. What's wrong with me saying that?

Let me spell it out again for you... FROM my perspective, opinion whatever you want to call it.

I (as in myself, username = GoldenGlove) don't buy fighting games unless I'm trying to get really good at the game. I don't buy all fighting games that release because I know I'm not going to have enough time to be competitive in them all. I pick out what I like and stick to it for the most part. In my honest opinion, if you don't put in a lot of hours into a fighting game to learn how the game plays/character specifics etc then it's a waste of money.

I highly doubt anybody in here, (outside of Tic Tac) is going to take the time to learn this game in and out.
