If you are just vibing to the music it’s one thing, you probably just like it sonically. But if you are imitating shooting guns and dancing to it you have internalized it and it is resonating in your head. You are actively participating in it. You may or may not be resonating with the performer of the song. That’s on how you’ve learned to enjoy music. Fire magic doesn’t work on a fire magician. Just like how trained musicians don’t internalize music the same way as the masses. How the gatekeepers of things like music and religion practice it is different than how the masses practice it
Music was originally meant for the betterment of the community and transferring info. Yes it does affect you. If you still remember nursery rhymes and ABC’s and the continent song yes music does affect you. That’s how these Muslim dudes memorize the Quran, the verses can be sung
I think if this music IS ALL that you know, yeah it can cause violence. But if you’re raised on multiple forms of media.. less likely. Even more less likely if you’re a trained musician and produce music. Killanikka musicians are being lionized and given positive feedback loops though, which I think inspires imitation.
