The year 3030

Killer Mike has enjoyed a successful career that has spanned over a decade, and the Atlanta rapper spoke about reinventing himself. He explained to us that he believes his longevity is due in part to him never stopping to "commemorate or commiserate" anything along the way, and Killer Mike added that he's also always tried to outdo himself every year.

Moving along, the "Ric Flair" rapper explained how his group with El-P, Run the Jewels, came about, and how he knew that El-P was supposed to produce for him the first time they met in the studio. Killer Mike also spoke about why they decided to put their music out for free, as he stated, "Why pretend like this is the f***ing Puffy era? Like you're going to sell a million [records] and shine on n****s. Get the f*** outta here."

As far as the quality? It does'nt mean anything

But as far as getting your message across, or being seen a viable "product" that should be promoted, if you selling millions of records, your ability to be seen and be presented to the masses will increase....in theory...

On the other hand, I enjoy Killa Mikes work as well as RTJ and they don't sell anything but a lot of people fukk with their work as well.

So it really all depends on what you're going for in the end :yeshrug:

Then maintain ownership and take care of your brand. Nobody outside of labels has made any money off selling millions of records unless they have/had a good publishing deal as well as owning their masters.
