My 6 year old son is in robotics programs and does several different engineering activities geared towards kids. He can still pursue presidency in the future if he decides to. But, a lot of parents are not equipping their children with skills that can be applied to earn income with. That was what he meant you fool. He didn’t literally mean fukk your dreams

I’m a legit Black American with a Black family and friends. Some of yall live a digital Black experience and it’s showing. There’s endless stories of people who made bad decisions to make a living because they didn’t posses skills to create a career while chasing their dream. Kids coming from, in this case, Atlanta will need to find a way to make legal income while pursuing that dream. Being president will require establishing networks and aint to many kids from Westside Atlanta have those established networks. All he was doing was inserting some additional reality as well but in a “trigger warning” way. I don’t completely agree with his pov but I agree with a lot of what he said in that episode

I've seen some of the episodes. It's like a less funny Nathan for you with social commentary. The difference with Nathan for you is that you can tell it's ridiculous satire while with Mike you don't really know where he's being Mike or his character. In this clip I think Mike was being Mike because he does actually believe in the stuff he's saying.


If the kid said wanted to be the next Michael Jordan the joke could've landed better but I don't put being the future POTUS in the same category since the path to get there entails collecting degrees from ivy league schools and even if you don't win the big one, you're setup pretty well to pivot to another lucrative career.
