He was rubbish, ain't about hate but straight facts. :comeon:
Wasn't nobody saying this 4-5 weeks ago. Want me to dig up the thread? What happens is, because y'all are haters, you guys will run to use these buzzwords like "screen presence" to nitpick some aspect of his performance in 1 or 2 frames, without explaining in any detail why you have that opinion, after seeing the movie 4 or 5 times, then make up shyt like personality looks, whatever the fukk that means. No artistic reasoning, no in-depth opinion. It's just immediate comparison to denzel, who I think would have been a terrible cast for that role btw

@BrothaZay already made a thread about this.

General consensus was that MBJ didn’t have the vocal presence to play Killmonger.
Yea we can tell that’s the general consensus by the way that the movie is on pace to be the most successful movie of all time. You cats and your low self esteem, it’s hilarious.

Notice everybody focus on the black people but they aint saying nothing about that clown ass token whiteboy flying the aircraft, dude was not even needed in the movie. They just put the motherfukker in the flick to make white people comfortable, aint nobody bytching about that.
White dude was needed for the funding of the movie...Coogler wouldn't have gotten the financing or the chance to direct the movie without white characters that they gave a pivotal, "savior" type role to.

There was nothing meh about that speech from MBJ.

And he delivered his closing perfectly, too :banderas:

I think people wanted something more sinister with a dude with more bass in his voice. I kind of get it. But I think he did well.

That's hate. Heath Ledger was no a sinister dude when they cast him for the Joker...and he had an actual sinister dude in Jack Nicholson to live up to...i heard not a word about his voice..nikkas ain't popping off like that when they ride to FBGDuck, XXXtenacion, 6ix9ine or any of them other fruity hair rappers..wonder why there's such a targeted dislike here.especially since his character was extremely well written with appreciable character depth

The movie was great. The numbers speak for themselves.

Still doesn’t eliminate the fact that MBJ’s voice was lacking.

False equivalence. Joker didn’t need a sinister presence to be believable. He was sinister in his actions.

Killmonger had a lot of lines to help bolster his sinister presence.

But, MBJ’s voice wasn’t up to the task.

That’s all people are saying.
