North Korea is just posturing...not doubting Kim is crazy enough to fire a nuclear warhead(s) at us. But if he does, it will get shot down. Present state, he can't hit the US mainland. He doesn't have enough missles with nuclear payloads to do that. People keep thinking nuclear warfare is like tennis, I fire one missle and you fire one back at me. No. The reason why nuclear war was so scary with USSR was, they were going to fire 1000s of missiles at a time. Nk ain't built like that yet. And even with China being NKs ally, I guarantee you, if NK fires first, China will turn their back on them.
It's posturing because of the sanctions.
With that said, something needs to be done because I'm 99% positive North Korea isn't above selling nukes to hostile regimes or terrorists.
