I thought the movie had a weird dynamic they never talked about the 3 other other sisters, I only knew the oldest sister because of that gangbanger scene. When he address Venus and Serena he called them by their first and last name. They kinda touched on him being a deadbeat during the kitchen scene in Florida but just kinda brushed over it. The movie was about how nobody respected him and only seen him as a dumb nikka. So he (and his wife I feel like she didn’t get enough credit for effort) put all his energy into making his daughters tennis stars. He did that and should be celebrated for it. But he also was deadbeat dad who acted like his other kids didn’t exist. Both stories can be true at the same time. You can’t blame Sabrina for being resentful towards her father after all these years of abandonment.

I can only speak on what I’ve seen. Most men I know who have healthy relationships with their children are cool with the baby moms. The ones that have tumultuous relationships with the other parent tend to say fukk it
It’s damn near impossible to get sole custody as a man, unless the mother is an out and out fukk up. I’m not saying it’s right but a lot of men aren’t going to go through the headache of the court system and a crazy baby momma just to see their kids on the weekend.
Women weaponize their children against the dad and wonder why the fathers bounce. It’s easier to start a new game file.

I know men who absolutely hate their ex-wives with everything in the world and still love their kids and spend all the time they can with them. They know to leave their own personal shyt out of it. If you don't want to love your kids that's 100% on you, don't blame the fukking woman that YOU chose to impregnate for your own deficiencies. You're still getting partial custody if you haven't done something vile, and if you loved those kids when you had the chance then they're going to take you on your own terms, whatever their mama says isn't gonna be the whole picture unless you abandon them exactly like you're suggesting.
