I stopped caring about KH’s story on KH2. I only played it for the music and gameplay. And after KH2 the gameplay went downhill and the story gotten more complicated. At least until the DLC which improved KH3’s gameplay & bosses.

it peaked at 2. In retrospect, they should've ended it after KH2. I'll die on the hill that KH1, CoM, and KH2 were a GOAT trilogy.

After 2, it exploded with the introduction of terra, aqua and ven. That, and they released canonical games on a variety of different consoles and handhelds. It's a complete mess. I don't even wanna play KH3 at all and i was hyped for its release.
