That's the difference between a playoff team and having one of the worst records in the league.
Sabonis was completely exposed in the playoffs after all his downhill opportunities were taken away from him and he had nothing else in his bag to rely on. He was constantly left open on the perimeter and was quickly faded out of the series because he didn't know how else to be effective. Whereas Tyrese has already proven he can lead a team and can control a game as good as any young guard in the league.
