Willis Read is a better comparison for Kobe, Lebron is a far better player. In what year that Kobe didn't win the MVP should he have won it? :what:

1997–98 Michael Jordan* (5) Guard United States Chicago Bulls (5)
1998–99 Karl Malone* (2) Forward United States Utah Jazz (2)
1999–00 Shaquille O'Neal Center United States Los Angeles Lakers (7)
2000–01 Allen Iverson Guard United States Philadelphia 76ers (6)
2001–02 Tim Duncan^ Forward/Center United States[c] San Antonio Spurs (2)
2002–03 Tim Duncan^ (2) Forward/Center United States[c] San Antonio Spurs (3)
2003–04 Kevin Garnett^ Forward United States Minnesota Timberwolves
2004–05 Steve Nash Guard Canada[d] Phoenix Suns (2)
2005–06 Steve Nash (2) Guard Canada[d] Phoenix Suns (3)
2006–07 Dirk Nowitzki^ Forward Germany Dallas Mavericks
2007–08 Kobe Bryant^ Guard United States Los Angeles Lakers (8)
2008–09 LeBron James^ Forward United States Cleveland Cavaliers
2009–10 LeBron James^ (2) Forward United States Cleveland Cavaliers (2)
2010–11 Derrick Rose^ Guard United States Chicago Bulls (6)
2011–12 LeBron James^ (3) Forward United States Miami Heat
2012–13 LeBron James^ (4) Forward United States Miami Heat (2)
2013–14 Kevin Durant^ Forward United States Oklahoma City Thunder
2014–15 Stephen Curry^ Guard United States Golden State Warriors

Definitely '05-'06. I would have also given him '06-'07, and '10-'11, but that's me though :manny:

Kobe was fortunate to have a beast like Shaq on his team for 3 of those 5. It would've been a different story if that hadn't been the case... even with the role players those Laker teams had. Lebron faced the best team in the league all season without his top 2 players on the court. The idea that that is somehow his fault for not being able to win the chip is laughable. The result would've been no different if it were Kobe in his prime on that team

Lebron had Wade, Bosh, Allen and lost to a bunch of euros :mjlol: No wonder Team USA needed Kobe to get that 'ship back :mjpls:

#neverforget lebronze choking cost the 2011 heat a championship
check bosh and wade's stats
lebronze ppg average dipped almost 10 full points (who was guarding him). The mavs margin of victory was only like 4-5 pts on average, if he gets his regular season average the heat win in a sweep

but
we know what happened :troll:

:whoa:Shaq was fortunate enough to have Kobe. Before Kobe, Shaq had 0 rings.

What does any of that have to do with what happened this season??

Neither would've won a ring without the other. This idea that somehow someone must carry a team to a title all by themselves is absurd. Lebron dropped the ball in 2011.... he shyt the bed BAD. This wasn't 2011. He was going against a healthy Warriors squad which also happened to be the best team in the league all season... and faced them without his top 2 teammates for 5 games out the series. He damn near avg a triple double w/ over 30 ppg and led both teams in scoring, rebounding, and assists. And people are actually trying to make a serious case for why this is somehow Lebron's fault and he should bare the blame :russ:

So Lbron knew the roster situation before he signed, knew they had very little to no playoff experience, knew Kyrie was injury prone, knew Blatt was the coach, and still signed there? Once he signs there, "LeGM:blessed:" pushes Wiggins out for Mr. Empty Stat, trades for Imam and JR, but its not his fault? He could have signed to any team. But he chose Cleveland.

And coach is the scapegoat. If they fire Blatt he better get all the money they signed him for.

If I was Steph or Klay I'd be pissed too.

Media tried to make this finals all about LeBron. He wins: LeBron is the best and is the MVP. He loses: LeBron is the best and MVP.

They completely ignored situation and the MVP of the regular season and the best team in the regular season. They made these whole finals LeBron watch.

Instead of commending winning, as you should, they commended LeBron's individual stats and losing. I've never seen finals coverage so geared towards one individual especially in a losing effort.

Everyone knew LeBron was gonna get his numbers. And after kyrie got hurt everyone knew LeBron was gonna GET HIS NUMBERS. For a player of LeBrons caliber, if you give him a 44% usage rate and give him the reign to shoot 33 times a game, you know he's gonna put up retarded numbers. That's a given.

But instead of taking that in stride the media decided that LeBrons individual numbers were more important than the totality of the finals. At a point in these finals I really questioned if ppl even cared who won.

You can see it really bugged the Warriors players. Steph had alluded to it before yesterday. After the game yesterday Iggy said LeBron shouldn't have come out and said he was the best player in the world because it's just not necessary. It was a clear attention grab.

Now in the aftermath of the finals I see no one trying to commend the Warriors for winning. I see Steph getting slighted has if he played a poor series which is just beyond idiotic. And I see people still trying to talk up LeBron :beli:.

At the end of the day if you don't win who gives a damn about stats. This game is about wins and loses. Steph and Klay have a reason to wanna talk shyt
And you know what? Good for them? So its not their fault that they went up against a one man army Cavs squad. But its also not our fault that we're not fukking impressed that they won that series. And Lebron shouldering the load for his squad was far more impressive than anything Curry did that series.

So.....whatever. Curry won. Nobody is all that surprised. And.....nobody really cares.

Except I guess you GS nikkas. Congrats? :yeshrug:
