Different seasons, different circumstances.

Dray right now has a more positive impact than Klay right now, but the main reason they paid Draymond and not Klay is because the Warriors feel different now than they did in 2023.

In 2023, they were coming off a 6-game fight with the Lakers in the WCSF. Klay was in his first year back from serious injuries and Wiggins had a crazy season and only got back just before the playoffs. They probably thought, "If Klay and Wiggins get back to form next year and Kuminga improves, we have a chance to compete for another couple seasons!"

This season Klay and Wiggins stayed just as bad as last year and they don't have any excuses this time, plus Kuminga isn't improving fast enough. They realized their window is over.

No more Splash bros, no more Big 3 :mjcry:

Wtf Klay. I don't get it, I don't. I didn't see his name in none of the trade offers or am I tripping? What was this dudes problem???

16mil a year vs 24 mil a year (At home with the day ones!) :hula:

And I swear on everything by year end and come playoff time, Klay gone be coming off the fukkin bench anyways if it was about that :mindblown:

I'm disturbed about this, Klay was supposed to go out with the homies if he gonna be taking contracts like this, to play with wack ass Luka.

Either way, good luck. I guess . Death of an era
:snoop:
i think he gon be getting passed around like a whore the next few years

NAH THEY LITERALLY
TRADED JORDAN POOLE TO APPEASE DRAY
ON TOP OF GIVING HIM THAT CONTRACT
(Let's not even mention KD)

ONLY FOR HIM TO TURN AROUND
AND QUADRUPLE HIS ANTICS THIS SEASON.

DRAY WAS SUPPOSED TO
BE OUTTA THERE LAST SUMMER...
NOW THEY LET KLAY WALK.

TERRIBLE LOOK

Damn shame to see this. Warriors were a fun team to watch for a decade and that 2022 ship was great to see. Thought Dray would easily be the first to go of the three

But I get both sides. GSW did right by Klay in 19 with the big contract after he tore his ACL knowing he'd miss the year. Klay then feeling slighted with the 2 year/48 mil offer last year, thinking he'd get more this year. He didn't but guess the bridge was burned already.

Thought him and Steph would both finish in GS. Great run.
Dubs paid him on a 4 year contract in which he play only 2 years on
