KMD Mr. Hood appreciation thread

I liked the singles 'Who Me' 'Peachfuzz' and the Mr.Hood Skits other than that I thought the album was kinda unremarkable but you could see the potential was there Zev's lyrics have always been crazy

It's a damn shame 'Black b*stards' didn't come out back in the day....that album is a personal classic of mine blows 'Mr.Hood' right out of the water....RIP Subroc...his production on BB is light years ahead of its time....

i think there's a couple of beats off Black b*stards that DOOM used a number of times in the 2000's

Love this album...it was one of many classic albums from the underrated and most creative year of 91. The album is so damn creative. The Mr Hood theme throughout is hilarious and the samples throughout are. Zev Love X was a beast on the mic and doesn't get the rightful acknowledgement because of DOOM. The 12's from the album were dope too.

I remember waiting on this album after Peachfuzz came out but had no idea when it was coming out. Went to Music Plus on one those Tues and happen to look behind all the tapes and found 1 KMD tape...found out from the clerk that it was the only one they had or received...one of the best days of my music life.

I was so amped that they were down with Brand Nubian, who I was fukking with heavy also at the time. "The 5% ers and the ansars together. " The God Squad could've been a movement.
